Although Responders use their own vehicles to attend emergency calls the group have two Land Rover Freelanders. These larger vehicles are much better suited to carrying around some of the demonstration equipment to events and also is better in all weathers to allow the volunteer responders to reach incidents..
In June 2013 it was decided that the group would look to source funding for a vehicle to be used mainly in Eastbourne Town Centre as this was the busiest area with the responder coving over 400 calls a year ranging from Birling Gap to Sovereign Harbour. Due to its close proximity to the downs the vehicle would again be a 4-wheel drive. Two businesses from Eastbourne have responded to the call for help, Specsavers Eastbourne and the Arndale Centre teamed up to purchase a second four wheel drive vehicle for the local charity.
Both four wheel drive vehicles have been in action in and around town and helped get responders to several incidents in a remote parts of the Downlands Jevington and also around Beachy Head.
The vehicle was sign-written by local company Ensign Designs and the rear windows tinted by Tint-Wise.
